Purses with a Purpose - The Delivery
The members and family and friends of Hemingway Temple AME Church collected over 200 purses to donated to DC General Shelter. Each purse was stuffed with basic toiletry items that one might take for gramted. However, for a person in need a bottle of lotion, or a bar of soap, can uplift one's spirit. In addition to the purses, we delivered 254 undergarments, and toiletry kits.This collaboration was not only a blessing to us, but we hope a blessing to the residents of DC General Shelter.

We started with a goal of 50...God Blessed us with 318 purses to go to the shelter.
